While pursuing his undergraduate engineering degree, Michael understood the importance of a broad technical background to being successful in any career path. In a combined electrical and computer engineering curriculum, he completed coursework in many diverse subjects. Following graduation, Michael gained valuable hands-on experience in positions involving plant production automation systems, as well as nuclear and safety engineering.

Since joining the firm in 2013, Michael has put his technical background to good use, handling patent preparation and prosecution across a variety of industries. His clients include industry leaders in in communications, software, consumer products, electronics, semiconductors, optics, renewable energy, aerospace, e-commerce, and Internet technologies. Able to seamlessly switch between different technologies, Michael quickly gets up to speed on a client’s invention so he can focus on what makes it novel — and how to protect that with an effective patent.

Michael is a military veteran, having served in both command and staff roles in the U.S. Marine Corps.
